Students in 4th grade participate in our school's Accelerated Reader program, also called AR. In this program students read a variety of books and take a test on the computer over their books. Students may also take tests on books that I've read to our class during our Read Aloud time. Our school program runs from September-April.
In our 4B classroom, your AR points also go in as a grade. Monthly goals are set for each student. Those students who make their goal are rewarded with a special activity put together by Mrs. Hernes. Students who make all of their monthly reading goals are also invited to attend an end of the year reading celebration conducted by Mrs. Hernes.
